WARDROBE / COSTUME POLICY

Our wardrobe policies have recently been updated to ensure all costume elements meet professional standards of cleanliness, consistency, and presentation for every event.

All performances require the exclusive use of official Stadium Dance wardrobe. Client-supplied costumes, accessories, replacement pieces, or any personal wardrobe items are not permitted under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, personal shoes, clothing, accessories, hosiery, or undergarments intended to supplement or replace any component of an approved costume look.

Performers are strictly prohibited from using personal or self-provided wardrobe pieces. Previous reliance on talent-owned items resulted in inconsistent appearance standards, cleanliness concerns, missing or forgotten garments, and last-minute wardrobe disruptions. To ensure uniformity and professionalism, all costume elements will be provided solely by Stadium Dance.

Client-Directed Wardrobe Themes & Styling Requirements

If the Company requests a specific visual theme or styling direction, Stadium Dance will curate wardrobe options from its in-house collection that align with the requested look.

Should any wardrobe needs exceed what is available in inventory, such as specialty garments, sizing requirements, or theme-specific items, Stadium Dance will source additional pieces, subject to availability and timeline constraints. Any additional wardrobe sourcing, purchasing, or rental costs will be invoiced to the Company once finalized.

Stadium Dance maintains full creative and logistical control over final wardrobe selection to ensure performers can move safely, comfortably, and consistently within choreography and staging requirements.

Costume Maintenance, Handling & Custody

Performers do not launder or maintain their own costumes. All costume care, laundering, and maintenance are handled exclusively by Stadium Dance after each dress rehearsal and performance. Stadium Dance retains full custody of all wardrobe items, distributes costumes at Call Time, and collects them immediately after the final performance. This protocol aligns with established industry standards.

Costumes are cleaned nightly to ensure proper laundering, pressing, and preparation for subsequent use. For formal or specialty garments requiring dry cleaning, multiple duplicates will be secured to ensure clean, ready-to-wear options each day. Additional fees may apply for costumes requiring more than a 24-hour professional cleaning turnaround.

FOOTWEAR POLICY

Footwear for all performers will consist of sneakers or dance shoes appropriate for the choreography and the booth’s flooring conditions, unless specialty footwear is required for safety reasons or based on movement demands.

Because certain skills—such as breakdancing, power moves, tricks, slides, spins, turns, or floorwork—require specific traction, support, and sole flexibility, talent footwear requests will always carry significant weight in the final wardrobe decision. Performer safety and the ability to execute choreography at a professional standard will take precedence over aesthetic considerations.

All footwear selections must be approved by Stadium Dance to ensure safety, consistency, and compatibility with the booth surface. If specialty shoes are required to support high-skill movement or to prevent injury, Stadium Dance will coordinate these options and invoice the Company accordingly.

Costume Pricing

General Costumes:

Standard in-house costume looks (options on this page) start at $100 per costume, per dancer, per event day.
This includes selection, sourcing, coordination, steaming, styling, maintenance, cleaning, transportation, on-site distribution, and post-performance collection.

Advanced / Specialty Costumes:

Premium, themed, custom, or specialty wardrobe looks start at $150 per costume, per dancer.
A creative meeting is required to determine the direction, after which an official quote will be provided based on materials, complexity, and design requirements.

Costume Management & Control

All wardrobe logistics, including selection, fitting, styling, adjustments, delivery, on-site handling, and cleaning, are controlled solely by Stadium Dance. Any additional wardrobe needs, creative revisions, customizations, or specialty items may incur additional costs depending on scope and materials.
